St. James Homes

Places to belong, learn, and grow.

St. James Institute brings education, faith, and everyday responsibility into community life. Our homes provide a setting where young adults can continue their studies, receive guidance, and prepare for greater independence.

Casa St. James — Bolivia

Casa St. James is our residential community in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. It accompanies young adults who need guidance and practical support as they work toward technical or university education and a more independent adult life.

Residents take an active part in caring for the home. Study, shared meals, household responsibilities, prayer, work, and service help connect their educational goals with the habits of everyday life.

The wider St. James community also includes young adults who live elsewhere and participate according to their individual support arrangements.

Growing through everyday life

A home supports learning through the responsibilities and relationships of each day.

Education and guidance

Young adults develop study routines, explore their educational path, and receive accompaniment as they prepare for the next steps.

Shared responsibility

Cooking, cleaning, caring for shared spaces, and managing personal resources give residents opportunities to practice skills for independent living.

Faith and community

Our Catholic mission shapes a community of prayer, service, respect, and care for others. Each person is treated with dignity and encouraged to contribute.

Residential support depends on individual assessment, local requirements, and available places and resources. An inquiry or application does not guarantee accommodation.

Help sustain a St. James home

Your support helps keep community life possible.

Contributions help sustain daily essentials, educational support, and the care of shared living spaces. You can also offer practical skills, volunteer time, or a suitable opportunity for a young adult.
