Partnerships that open practical doors
St. James Institute is a Catholic mission accompanying young adults toward education, meaningful work and independent adulthood. Our first apostolate is in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. Educational institutions, businesses, care homes, parishes and community organizations can help build dependable opportunities around each participant.
Education and training
Universities, technical institutes and training providers can discuss scholarships, reduced tuition, academic preparation, short courses or learning materials. Together, we consider entry requirements, costs and the support a student needs to make good use of the opportunity.
Employment and work experience
Employers can offer paid jobs, structured internships, workplace visits or career guidance. Suitable opportunities provide clear responsibilities and supervision, with schedules that support a young adult’s studies and preparation for working life.
Referrals and community connections
Care homes can coordinate referrals and share relevant information through the agreed admissions process. Parishes and community organizations can contribute prayer, formation activities, introductions and practical support that strengthen relationships around young adults.
Expertise and practical resources
Professionals and organizations can offer training, technical services, equipment, supplies or financial support for an agreed need. Discuss proposed contributions with our team first so they can be matched to current priorities and the resources needed to sustain them.
How a partnership takes shape
A partnership can begin with one practical contribution. We start with a conversation, consider whether the idea fits the mission, and agree on responsibilities before an activity begins.
1. Tell us what you have in mind
Introduce your organization, your location and a contact person. Briefly describe the opportunity, expertise or resources you could offer, the people it is intended for and any timing or conditions.
2. Match the offer to a real need
Our team can discuss current priorities, participant goals and program capacity with you. We consider suitability, costs, supervision and the commitments each side could reasonably make.
3. Agree on a workable plan
Before moving forward, clarify the scope, responsibilities, schedule, resources and communication arrangements. For ongoing collaboration, agree how progress will be reviewed and what happens if circumstances change.
Work together with care and clear expectations
Activities involving young adults are coordinated through St. James and subject to applicable safeguarding requirements. Respect for privacy, personal boundaries and participants’ dignity is part of every collaboration. Any use of names, logos, photographs or personal stories must be agreed in advance and follow the permissions required.
Start a conversation
A brief introduction is enough to begin. Tell us what your organization could contribute and what you would like to explore together. An inquiry does not confirm a partnership, student placement or activity; next steps are agreed after review.
